At the Faculty of Medicine, we offer you training provided by experts at the cutting edge of knowledge, active both in the field and in the scientific world.
Particular importance is attached to the quality of internships, essential for consolidating the practical and theoretical knowledge acquired during courses and practical work.

Bachelor's degree

  • In Block 1 of the bachelor's degree, teaching focuses on the fundamental sciences of physics, chemistry and biology, as well as on the disciplines that enable us to understand how the human body functions at all levels (macroscopic and microscopic anatomy). From this block onwards, students embark on courses specific to physiotherapy, both theoretical and practical: massage techniques, palpatory anatomy, biomechanics, hydrotherapy... Subsequent blocks focus on the study of various pathologies (traumatic, degenerative, etc.) and their associated rehabilitation modalities.
  • From Block 2 onwards, the program includes subjects that help us understand how healthy and sick people function: physiology (study of organ function), biochemistry (study of chemical reactions taking place within living organisms). The number of hours devoted to practical work is also increasing. In addition, students already complete a 2-week clinical internship in a physiotherapy department, enabling them to have initial contact with patients and put into practice the techniques taught.

Over the course of their studies, students complete a minimum of 1,200 hours of internships in various hospital departments (within the CHU de Liège and other referral hospitals in the region) and private practices approved by the Institution.
